Failed Ballot Challenge Backfires as Court Sides with Adam Pugh
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Supreme Court rejected the effort to knock Adam Pugh off the ballot, shutting down a political stunt that never should have taken attention away from the real issues facing Oklahoma schools.
Adam Pugh is a real, conservative Republican having never run for office as a Democrat or any other party - unlike most of his challengers. The ballot challenge was a political stunt from a struggling campaign that could not win the argument with voters, so it tried “lawfare” instead.
Now that effort has failed, Adam is doing what he has been doing all along: traveling Oklahoma, meeting with parents, and sharing a vision for stronger schools, better outcomes, support for teachers, and a stronger voice for families.
“I’m grateful for the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s decision and appreciate the court’s careful consideration of this matter. I’m glad this political distraction has been put to rest so we can stay focused on what really matters. I’m going to keep traveling Oklahoma, listening to parents, and sharing my vision for strong leadership that improves education outcomes, puts students first, supports teachers, and empowers families.”
